Good morning from a very soggy Hastings. We have survived yet another earthquake. It was rather tame here compared to those south of us. We aren’t called the Shaky Isles for nothing. We are still getting a lot of little aftershocks but nothing serious. I know because I have an app on my iPad that keeps notifying me of them. One blessing is that we have rain but no wind with it so I am happy. We need the rain as it was getting very parched here.
So, onto this challenge by Lens and Pens by Sally. The Phoneography Challenge. This week it is black and white. This is harder than you think as we live in a colourful world. But then black and white gives a completely new angle to photos. I chose these photos as they can change into something completely abstract.
First I went to Colour Strokes and changed them all to black and white.
Then it was over to FX Photostudio Pro to tweak it a bit and add a frame.
They look so different to the original images. Two look more like something out of science fiction.
Thanks for visiting. Here are some other great blogs to check out as well.

Oh my, you live where you have regular earthquakes. In my town in the Mid-Atlantic of USA, we experienced one last year that was the first I’ve ever felt. It’s amazing how you know what it is. It traveled up the coast from Virginia. So glad that you are doing okay and got some needed rain. Your image is a delight. I really like the processing. The steps worked so well. The final image is a collage of monochrome that is fun to view. Happy Phoneography Monday.

Glad you’re ok in Hastings. Very wet and windy in Auckland. Hoping this will pass soon as it’s playing havoc with my tomato plants. 🙂

I saw it on the news. The rain has stopped here but the wind has picked up again.

I was walking Trompie when the earth started shaking and roofs rattling. It is also raining here with only gusts of wind now and again

That would have been scary as dogs don’t like earthquakes. Glad to hear you are okay. 😀

Rawwyn, I love what you did with these. I can’t wait to play more with editing but at least I’ve started. 🙂 My biggest thing is to make sure I save an original! As for rain, I’m going home to Chicago tomorrow, from 75F to 7 or so and down into below zero at night. That will be a big change. But no rain!!

Thanks! I will. I’m OK with snow, too, but definitely have enjoyed the contrast down here!
