A Photo a Week Challenge: Trapped

While reading all the blogs this morning I found that these photos would be great for this great challenge by

nancy merrill photography.  This week the challenge is trapped.  These chrysalises show the  butterflies  which are trapped until they are ready to hatch out.

Look Up, Look Down: Week 25

Good morning from a very grey Hastings.

Yesterday being Waitangi Day we had a public holiday.  So I went up to the early childhood centre where my husband worked as a teacher just to take photos of these monarch butterfly caterpillars.  The children are fascinated by them and go out each day to count the caterpillars and to search for chrysalises.  I was in seventh heaven just taking photos.  So today, I am just looking down for Travel with Intent‘s challenge.

Older than Grandma!

A Lingering Look at Windows. Week #6

It is hard to  believe that we are up to week 6 of this year.  I swear time goes by faster, the older you get.

I have taken quite a few photos of the reflection of the sunsets in these windows.

Here are some photos of the sunset.

The windows are at the front of the house and the biggest window is tinted so that it acts like a mirror for the sunset.
