I am convinced that material things can contribute a lot to making one’s life pleasant, but basically, if you do not have very good friends and relatives who matter to you, life would be really empty and sad and material things cease to be important.

Good morning from another sunny Hastings. I hope everyone is keeping warm and dry in the Northern Hemisphere. The weather is going crazy at the moment.
I just loved this old bike that I found in a garden just abandoned and falling to pieces and really wanted to use it and then found this quote which I thought was rather appropriate for this challenge by Ese’ s Voice
Today I have a photographic assignment. This week is full on with the Art Deco festival. My husband works as a teacher at an early childhood centre. They are getting into the mood with a Great Gatsby inspired picnic. One of the families is really involved in this festival and has an old car so the grandmother is bringing the car along, while the mother is doing a picnic with scones and cream. I have been invited to take photos and then pop along to the local newspaper to see if they will do a story on this and using my photos. I will of course dress up for it as well. Unfortunately I won’t be able to post any of the photos for you to see as I need to ensure their privacy. The families don’t mind for a newspaper, but not my blog.
Anyway here are some other great posts for this challenge.

The photo is really beautiful and brings along nostalgic memories, somehow… Can’t disagree with the quote you have chosen – in the end of the day our family and friends are what really matters, the true value. Everything else just comes and goes….

Thank you. That is my philosophy in life. Things can be replaced, people can’t. 😀
