Good morning from a very wind and rain battered Hastings.
A Happy Easter to everyone out there in the blogisphere.
New Zealand has been battered by the tail of Tropical Cyclone Ita, which has already hit Queensland and the Solomon Islands. It has been a hard 24 hours so far and now the South Island are hit. I have never seen anything like it. I have seen torrential rain in Austria but never combined with the winds we had yesterday. Last night we had another power cut for about an hour so out came the candles. It was disconcerting to be enjoying a soak in the bath and find yourself in complete darkness – I will leave the rest to your imagination. Actually it was really dark all day.
So this morning a ray of sunshine for me at least. I have received an award for this photo at ViewBug.com. It was taken last July on a freezing cold morning at Cornwall Park.

Now the sun is trying to shine but there are still strong winds. I will try and get some photos at some point – I hope.

I love it when that happens! Usually for my sunrises I don’t have to either because my camera does a fantastic job capturing all that color!
