Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Floral Macros

Macro Flower 3 (640x531) (2)

Good morning from a cold Hastings.

I enjoyed Cee’s tips last week on taking floral macros.  I have always struggled with this.  My camera is mega slow after I dropped it so need to have perfect conditions to take really good shots. I have a lot of problems getting the right depth of field.  So I took her advice and zoomed in as much as I can and then cropped back to get my final images.

These were taken in our garden.  For the first image I wasn’t happy with the colour tone so used a filter to make it more interesting.

Macro Flower 2 (640x492)

I still tend to use filters to get a more interesting final image.  I suppose though, it is all about developing my own style too.  I really miss my Mac apps though.

These were all edited with Photoscape.

Phoneography Challenge: Nature

Nature 1 (480x640)

Good morning from a wet grey Hastings.

Many apologies for being so late but I have had major issues with my computer and now have my daughters old one.  That is a big improvement on my dinosaur but I still had problems getting onto my blog.

For those who want to know what this photo is:

Oddball challenge

I got two right answers,  Yes it is a knitting machine bed. I had a giggle at some of the comments.  I am definitely not musical so there is no chance of having a piano in the house.  Though I do envy those who do play.

Thank you for all your comments anyway.

So it is the start of a new month and the first week in the month for this challenge by Sally.

My photos were taken some time ago so again apologies if they are repeats.

My phone is getting so full with photo editing apps and my edited photos.  I don’t want to let them be deleted until I know where I am with my Mac computer.  I have managed to upload them onto this computer so they are safe for now.

These two images have been edited with Snapseed.

Nature 2 (640x483)

While this last photo was edited with another app which I can’t remember.  I have so much fun doing it that I can lose track of time and what apps I use.  The main thing to remember is the final image.

Cee’s Oddball Challenge: Week 14

Oddball challenge

Good morning from a grey Hastings morning.

I love this challenge by Cee where anything goes.

This is my entry.  I am not going  say what it is.  I want you to guess.  I was having problems with the flash so went around my home looking for things to take photos of.  This is one of them. I will tell you tomorrow.  Have fun guessing.

I am having major problems with the computer today so will try to get to everyone’s awesome post some time later today.
