For this post I have combined two challenges. Ed at Sunday Stills has given us the prompt of planes. I was at the airport sending off my mother to Wellington when I used the time to take photos of our national carrier Air New Zealand.
Then Steve came up with his Snap and Zap challenge where we take a photo and have fun editing it. His challenge this week is movie themes. So I thought of the 1980 movie Airplane! starring Leslie Nielson.
So it was off to Snapseed to crop and add some drama to the original image.
Then I added a white vignette at Photoshop Express.
Then off to Distressed FX for the HDR and Reckoning filter.
Finally I headed to the Sketch app for a black and white sketch.
It is a lot of fun and something to do in the evenings when there is nothing on TV.

Great shot. I keep talking about getting down to the airport to shoot. Soon.

I think ours is too big to get a good vantage point. But I will try.

Our airport is tiny. We can only accept the smaller planes. Makes it easy but also hard at the same time. Just the same planes. 😀
