A Photo a Week: Dead Plants

IMG_0401 (480x640)

This week Nancy has given us the challenge of finding dead plants.

Even though their lives are over they can still be beautiful.

I found these dead plants at my parent’s house.  My mother was a great gardener but with her Alzheimer’s all  that has gone now and the sad part is that she doesn’t see how her garden is dying.  My father now has someone to work in her garden but it will never be the same again.

That is why I have edited these photos in monochrome.

As you can see the spiders have taken over.

Thanks for visiting.

Floral Friday: Wisteria

DSCF6139 (493x640)

Good morning from a sunny Hastings.

When I go outside now I am struck by this wonderful aroma of the wisteria that is hanging over the fence.  It is amazing it is still flowering with all the heavy winds we have been having.
