This week Nancy has asked for movie or TV show references.

As I live in New Zealand also known as Middle Earth due to the fact that all the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies were filmed here, I felt it appropriate to use these photos that show similarities to the hobbit houses.
Maybe that is why they chose New Zealand to film it in. We already had the bridges for them. No they didn’t film here but I love these quaint bridges.
A Photo a Week challenge: Movie reference
I will catch up with everyone later today.
Thanks for visiting.
The bridges are great. We went to Hobbiton when we visited. Had a great day and NZ certainly fitted the bill for Middle Earth.

My brother lived in New Zealand for two years and said that there was little done to the scenery for the films; New Zealand really is that beautiful. Love the bridges. I can easily see Bilbo Baggins hanging around them. 🙂 Thanks for joining the challenge!

You photos are gorgeous. They remind me of the Japanese gardens in Maymont Part, in Richmond, Va.

I didn’t know the films were made in New Zealand. Or perhaps I never paid attention. 😦 Love the calm and quiet scenes. 🙂

Thanks. I love the scenes. Shame they didn’t come here to film as they would have been perfect. 😀
