Cee’s Oddball Challenge: Week 40

IMG_6010 (579x640)

Good morning from a grey Hastings day.  Yesterday we got up to 30 degrees celsius and was the hottest in the country.  Both my children had to work and they came home panting and hanging out for ice blocks.  Me, I froze in the air conditioning at church.

Anyway today the temperature should drop about 10 degrees from yesterday.  Crazy weather.

So onto this challenge by Cee.  I love seeing what everyone comes up with for this challenge.  There are some great photos that just don’t fit anywhere but are fun too.

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: Week 40

This photo was another one I took last week while I was waiting for a prescription be filled.  I just wandered around with my iPhone 5S seeing what is around.

These robots were the remnants of the blossom parade in September. This float won best in parade and it is nice to see them displayed afterwards, and not destroyed with the rest of the float.

They remind me of the 60’s programme “Lost in Space” – what was the name of their robot – I can’t remember.

  1. At least some of the “Lost In Space” shows used Robby, the same robot used on “Forbidden Planet” and a few other shows. I have a model of Robby. He’s one of my favorite toys, even though he doesn’t walk or talk quite as well as I might wish 🙂

  2. I have one cold hand. Happens to be my right hand and I am right-handed. I sit on it most of winter when I am not on the computer. In the summer it is OK. (probably why I don’t go to cold churches 😦 )

    1. Austria was worse. I would go to midnight mass through the snow and the chapel was stone and no heating whatsoever. Both my children were baptised in it and I had to put a hot water bottle under them. 😀
