Wow, the time has gone quickly in December. It won’t be long and it will be 2015.
And this is the final week for this challenge for this year and yes, I will definitely be back next year for this challenge and it is a great one for experimenting and trying out new ideas.
“Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here.”
Neil Gaiman
I love this quote as it really represents my approach to photography. Most important of all it is about enjoying what I do.
Anyway the first photo is for the final week. After the third week I really didn’t want to do any more editing as I loved that image the best of all. But I went to the Glaze app and turned it into an oil painting but I am not entirely happy with it.
And here is the original.
And a slide show to show how the image has changed over the weeks.
You can find out more about this challenge here at Robyn’s blog.
This challenge has not only helped with learning new apps, but I have learnt how to create a gallery, a slide show and a poll.
Thanks for visiting.

Thanks. A fellow Kiwi. I have to put New Zealand as one of my tags as there are so many Hastings around the world. I am looking at eventually moving down to Christchurch once my son leaves home and my parents are not around anymore. 😀

very cool effects….but I think I like week 3 best…it is very dramatic with the vignette

Hi Raewyn, I love the velvety look most! You have done great work. But I must admit I am confused as to which week this belongs to. May I suggest you add the week number to our captions – makes it easier to vote for the fav!

Once again Raewyn, I would love the knowledge and skill to create your photos….maybe one day. Week 2 is my favourite.

They were all nice but I voted anyway. 🙂

I do like the original better this time.

I agree the original or week 1 are the strongest of the challenge as the strength is in the subject. As the processing kicked in on the others I find the subject getting lost.
