One Four Challenge: March Week 2

So onto this photo for Robyn’s challenge at Captivate Me.  This is where we have one photo and edit it each week for 4 weeks.

I have chosen an incredibly difficult photo this month.  I spent some time last Saturday with Photoshop and Lightroom.  I actually just tried using layers and some different filters but wasn’t happy with the result.  For this week I just sharpened it a tad more and then  added the poster edge filter. That seemed to bring out the thistles a bit more.  Finally I added a soft vignette to it with Lightroom. When you view the slide show you can see the difference.

Phoneography Challenge: Macro

Good morning from a grey looking Hastings.

 Another week has gone and it is time for another colourful post with my camera for Lens and Pens by Sally‘s challenge. My mother just loves amaryllis plants and buys them for inside the house when they are in full bloom and then plants them outside.  This is one of them.  These were such a show in March when they were blooming.  Every time I visit them either the camera or the phone comes out and I always wander around taking photos.

This challenge is for all non camera devices – so for phones etc.  These were taken with my iPhone 5S. For more information check out Sally’s blog
