One Word Photo: Shamrock

Shamrock (1 of 1)

Here are my photos from Jennifer’s challenge at Jennifer Nichole Wells this week.  Shamrock is a colour I have always associated with Ireland for obvious reasons.

So here are some autumn leaves from Cornwall Park yesterday.

The light in New Zealand is strong which makes the contrast a lot more vibrant too.  So I have gone for a fern as my final image.

Cee’s Fun Fotos: Colourful Monotones

Blue flowers (1 of 1)

Good morning from a cool and sunny Hastings morning.

This week Cee from Cee’s Photography has asked for colourful monotones.  These photos were taken last Sunday – the same as my phoneography post for the week.  But I had something else in mind for these photos.

I played around with the clarity – softening it to give it a more delicate feel to the petals and then played around with the monotone presets in Lightroom.

Thanks to Steve from Portraits of Wildflowers for identifying this plant as one of the gaura species.

This last photo I just upped the clarity to give a more dramatic feel to the clouds behind the flowers
