I have been driving my son crazy every day, saying no baby when he got up this morning. it was breaking news here in New Zealand as soon as she was admitted to hospital. As it was her second baby I did’t think she would be taking so long. And I was right. Only 2 1/2 hours labour. But a big baby – 8-pound, 3-ounces. Phew. A big girl. She just looks soooooo adorable.

But my photo is of a juvenile duck at Cornwall Park. The baby feathers are just starting to fall out. But it still looks a bit fluffy around the edges.
