Good morning from a cool sunny Hastings day. This post is dedicated to Steve from Steve Says…. Last week he posted a video showing us how to do microwave crisps.
Here’s A Tip: Make Your Own Potato Chips In 3 Minutes…
So I said I would show the latest in french fries at the school fairs. A curly fry.
So we take one medium size potato and attach it to the drill as you can see.
There is a blade on the right which slices the potato in a spiral. As you can see the potato is already on a stick.
When it is finished.
The potato is spread out down the length of the stick.
It is then rolled around in the flour (sorry about the quality of this photo) before being fried the usual way.
And this is the final result. There was a good selection of flavoured salt. These are soooooo yummy.
This is for both Emilio from Photos by Emilio who has nominated me for the Five Photos, Five Stories challenge. I know that we are supposed to use only one photo. But I have a photo story instead. We get to nominate another blogger so I have nominated Irene from Reflections and Nightmares- Irene A Waters (writer and memoirist). She has some great stories to tell. No obligation Irene.
This is also for Cee’s challenge at Cee’s Photography.

Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge: Odd Ball
Thanks for visiting.
Yum! But don’t get your hand in the way. Emilio invited me, too, Raewyn, and I’m in the planning process right now. This will be a very busy week, so I’m hoping to get some of my five done in advance. We’ll see how that goes. 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day!

Thanks for the thought, Raewyn. It’s much appreciated. Thankfully, I had lunch not long before reading your post. Otherwise it would have been even more deadly.

This is awesome. However, I’m not trusted with a potato – never mind a drill haha. Thanks for the mention!

These look so yummy. I’m not a chip fan but these for some reason look enticing. Thank you for the nomination Raewyn. I love telling stories so am more than happy that you invited me. Do I have to invite one person per photo to participate also? Cheers Irene
