WPC: Last of the summer blooms

End of the Roses-9336

Good morning from a warmish sunny Hastings day.

This morning  from The Daily Post has asked us for our off season photos. I had to think about this one.  Then I saw that I had a lot of withered roses.  They are well past the optimum blooming season and now are showing signs of the changing, colder weather.

They are still beautiful in their own way.

End of the Gerberas-9455

The gerberas are also showing signs that the summer season is ending, and the nights are getting colder.

  1. I really like your take on the challenge – and the title pulled me in – such beautiful shots of the fading blooms – still so purdy!
