Good morning from a cool but sunny Hastings day.
Yesterday I headed over to Napier with two friends and we had a great time wandering around Marine Parade and taking some crazy photos. While there I also managed to find some great grasses for Ailsa’s challenge at Where’s my backpack?.
But when I think of grass this song always pops into my mind.
So here are some of my green grass photos of home.
A couple of Pakowhai Park – such lush green grasses.
And then one from my lawn in the front.

Thanks for visiting.
I’m surprised to see leaves turning yellow and falling off so far into winter.

Our autumn lasted a long time this year. I think it was because we had very early frosts and then warmer weather – I think it confused the trees. Plus this park is somewhat protected from the extremes of weather due to the tall pines surrounding it.

Listening to Tom as I type. It was one the songs I used to play (on my guitar) for my Grandmother. She and her peers would listen to anything my cousins and I played…and love it. Makes me feel positively ancient when I see 1967 on it though. At least an excuse for the aching joints…at times.

I know, I got a shock when I realised that it was from 1967. A big song from my childhood. Love it.

We had a very long autumn or fall as you called it. The colours were amazing.
