This month we got to add our own editing touches to this image by Katie Prior of Drawing with Light.
As usual I just played around with the Photoshop filters – I can’t say which one as when I am doing this it is hard to remember to write down what I am doing at the same time I am doing it. I did crop some of the sky out so that the focus was on the cool crazy paving.
Then I went to Photoscape and played around with some more filters there as well as adding a frame.

Thanks so much Marsha. I wanted a painted feel, which is why I added the frame too.

That looks like the texture filter. I like it. It works with the image.

It is indeed the texture filter, along with a couple of others I can’t remember. I wanted a painted feel which is why I added the frame.

Oooh, I LOVE the texture you added here, Raewyn! I’m not normally a fan of frames, but the combination works beautifully, as does your crop. Nicely done 🙂

Raewyn, this really shows imagination. The canvas texture along with the painterly approach is really great.
