Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge: Going Abstract

Abstract Fun-2

Good morning from a hot Hastings.  New Zealand is now being fried by the heat wave that hit Australia.  We are expecting another day of very hot, very uncomfortable temperatures.  With no air con it will be a difficult day for me.

So what do you do when it is hot? Play around with my photos on both phone and computer.

Last Friday was my last Social Snappers for the year.  A little sad but we had a little tea party to celebrate.  Our phones were all out to take photos of the food.  I decided to be a bit more abstract.  This first image is of a plastic cover for a cake.  It does give the impression of shaking hands.

Abstract Fun

Then we played around with these reflections in these sunglasses.

  1. Another good use for technology, keeping you entertained while keeping cool. Hope that you can some relief. It’s a stranger than strange year for temps. El Nino is doing its thing here in the states. It’s officially winter, and the temps will be in the 60s this week. Really, really enjoyed your reflections in the sunglasses. Well done. Happy Photo Challenge.

  2. Love the reflections, Raewyn. Although not stifling hot here, it’s much warmer than usual. I was hoping for cold and snow, but it’s not to be. However, I shall enjoy Christmas anyway.
