WPC Challenge: Spare and Bare Hills in the Hawke’s Bay
Good morning from a cloudy and windy day here in Hastings. After a beautiful week we are expecting a wet and miserable weekend. We desperately need the rain. As you can see in these photos.
Krista from The Daily Post has asked us for our spare photos. That is spare meanings:
Spare has many connotations: it can mean one too many, or sparse, or even to release something from harm. I’m looking forward to seeing your interpretations! Bonus points to those who tell the story behind their “spare” inspiration.
This is what I travel through every weekend to the market in Otane. The hills are so bare and dry. So they are brown most of the time. Yesterday when I went down you can see some green coming through as there was some heavy downpours during the night last week. But a few days of wind and sun and they really dry up.
Please excuse the quality of the photos. They were taken with my iPhone 6S through a dirty window. (I know it is time to clean the car).
