Good morning from a very snow battered Hastings. Sorry I didn’t get around to all the blogs yesterday but we had a power cut due to heavy snow. I am out this morning with my camera going down to the market hoping to get some good photos.
This month the original photo was by Robin Kent PhotographybyKent.
I had left it to the last minute as per usual so I first added an HDR filter to bring out more details and then played around with the different filters in the Nik Collection and Pixlr. It didn’t quite end up how I imagined it in my mind but I am still happy with the result.
Thanks for visiting.
Sorry to hear about the heavy snow and power our. Hope everything is going well.

Hope your snow goes away soon. Pretty but only for a short time. Love the pictures. The first one looks like an old Victorian postcard from an expo.

Thanks Julie. It is till freezing here with the main highway from Napier to Taupo still closed, and some isolated farms still have no power.

My goodness!!!! I hope you’re warm and got power now. I don’t think we, in the UK can really appreciate how you must be affected by such a heavy snowfall. Take care.

Thanks so much for your concern. We are just not used to this snow. It is usually mild here in winter where I live. It is still very cold as well

There you are! I actually came to comment on Friday but your post wasn’t up. I really like the comment about it looking like a Victorian postcard from an expo. Spot on!
Your weather is cold; ours here in DC is heading into a four-day stretch of hot and unusually humid weather. Ugh. I think I like yours better 😉

Thanks Stacy. Driving around I have notice that the spring bulbs are coming through. Officially spring starts for us on the 1st of September. Can’t wait.
