Good morning from a cool but sunny Hastings morning.
Firstly I must really apologise for not getting around to everyone’s blogs. Wordpress is now crashing as well as being very slow and laggy as my son says. It is driving me nuts as you can imagine. It seems that I am only allowed to do so much and then it decides I am not allowed to do any more and shuts the whole browser down. Come on WordPress, get rid of all the bloat ware.
Now my whinging is over it is time to show some of my mobile photos. My son is my chauffeur which means that I can have my camera or phone out to take photos. So this is along Marine Parade heading into Napier. I love this drive. On clear days you can see right over to Cape Kidnappers. The clouds were amazing this day.
Then the closer you get into Napier there are these Norfolk pines. I remember visiting Napier as a child and these trees stood out in my mind for some reason.
Both have been edited in Pixlr.

Thanks for visiting
Raewyn, truly inviting images. I enjoyed your post processing. The Norfolk pines image reminds me of woodcut. Happy Photo Challenge.

I recognize the pines too, from my short time in Napier. I like the effect on the first image. It evokes power in some way. The sea with its indomitable power?!!

These shots look wonderful in B&W, Raewyn, although very different than they would in color. Don’t worry about not getting to everyone’s blogs. I’m still struggling to get back after my vacations and now I have to work more, the Olympics are on, and gee, I have house and yard work, too. Sigh. 🙂

My computer crashed hard today too, though I think it’s a new graphics driver that installed itself. It’s always something, isn’t it? Also, Microsoft has been putting an awful lot of updates through and they have a way of screwing everything up.
