My name is Raewyn and I am like red wine, I getter better the older I get. I live in New Zealand but have travelled extensively and once lived in Austria for 11 years. I am separated and live with my two children who are about to go to university.
I come from a creative family. My maternal grandmother loved all forms of craft work and watercolours. She was very talented. My paternal grandmother also dabbled in crafts, I remember her doing cane baskets. My mother’s craft area was in the field of machine knitting. She has won numerous awards for her garments at the local fairs. My father loves wood and makes wooden toys with his scroll saw (fret saw). My twin sister loves photography as I do and is a talented scrapbooker and card maker.
Me, I was taught to knit and crochet at the age of 5, then sewing at school at 11. My love of photography goes back at least 30 years. While living in Austria I joined the local camera club in St Johann in Tyrol. There I indulged in my passion for black and white photography learning about editing and manipulating images. To me it was magic to see a blank piece of paper come to life in a matter of seconds. After a break for my two children I have plunged back into it with gusto.
I have also started to indulge in digital scrapbooking. With this I have started to learn about Photoshop on my mac, along with other photo editing tools. You are never too old to learn new skills.
I also do a lot of knitting, sewing and crocheting. machine embroidery is another passion where I love seeing images coming alive before my eyes.
Thank you so much for the follow. It means a lot.
Thanks again 🙂 🙂

I see I wrote this over two years ago. 🙂 I am glad we are still WordPress friends! We all have lots of ups and downs. But we carry on. We share and are glad to listen/read others and realize we are alike no matter where we live. I see by the date your Christmas is over. But still wishing you a merry one anyway and a great New Year, xx

The Virtual Blog Tour is a relatively new project for bloggers. The rules are fairly simple:
Compose a one-time post which is posted on Monday (date will be given to you from whoever passes on the tour)
What am I working on?
How does my work differ from others of its genre?
Why do I write/create what I do?
How does your writing/creating process work?
Answer four questions about our creative process which lets other bloggers and visitors know what inspires us to do what we do.
Then pass the tour on to up to four other bloggers. Get their permission first and give them rules and specific Monday they are to post. Yours is July 21
