Good morning from a sunny Hastings morning. A relief for us that the wind and rain have gone but it has been harder for others north and south of us here. So keep safe, warm, dry or cool where ever everyone is.
So this is Cee’s Photography‘s fun foot challenge. Found in nature. That is what my photography is about. The beauty around us. I am a bit reticent about taking photos of people and generally ask about using their images online. Some people object but nature never does.
I tried to get different photos for this challenge, not jus the usual butterflies, but interesting items found in nature.
I have no idea what plant this.
This was in my mothers little garden.
I love the lines on this tree.
This I do know – a lily.
I love cobwebs and faeries. My family thought I was nuts taking this photo.
Here are a couple of great blogs to check out as well.
Good morning from another sunny Hastings.
Well a new week has rolled around. I swear that time speeds up the older we get. Anyway I am on time with the challenge by LorikArt. I found these photos as I scrolled through my archives for something different today.
So as usual I went to FX Photostudio Pro just to emphasise the areas I wanted to focus on.
I find that some of the filters can edit out some unwanted background.
Then it was over to Photoshop for more editing to get to the final orange image.
It is fun to see how the images become almost like science fiction compared to the original photos. I can’t say what I did but just went with the feel of the photos. So if something didn’t appeal to me, then there is always the undo button to click. Ah the joys of digital photography. Aaaaah. Love it.
Good morning from another sunny Hastings day.
This week’s challenge by Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge – Intricate is intricate. You have to pick a photo relating to the theme and then add a quote that a goes with it. As I do another post called Words of Inspiration I already had a lot. But I decided to do a new one. Actually it is more appropriate to the theme Eerie from last Saturday (Friday) or Halloween. I looked through my photos to see what was intricate and came up with these cobwebs, which I edited using both Aperture and FX Photostudio Pro. Then I looked up this quote by Sir Walter Scott:-
Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When we first practice to deceive.
I then added the quote to this image.
I used different affects for the different cobwebs, depending on their backgrounds. Rather spooky looking.
