Phoneography Challenge: Nature

Greensleeves 1 (1 of 1)

Greensleeves (1 of 1)

Good morning from a balmy sunny day here in Hastings.  I have already been out to take photos of our awesome sunrise.  I have also notice the leaves starting to change colour.  As of the 1st March we are officially into autumn.  But mother nature has forgotten to switch of the heater.  On Sunday we had the highest temperature in the country – 30 degrees celsius and yesterday was 28, today we are forecast to have the same.  So we will enjoy this Indian summer.  I wouldn’t mind if we continue to have such awesome sunrises – will post tomorrow.

I have managed to work out what was wrong with my computer but will explain it all in my other post as it is more relevant there.

So onto this challenge by Sally.  This is to showcase what our non digital camera devices can do.  Samsung have announced their new phones yesterday.  Among the upgrades are new camera specs.  That should be interesting for those who are into Samsung.  Me, these photos were taken with my iPhone 5S.  I have used some of the photos taken at this time for my 5 day black and white challenge.  This time though, I have edited them with Lightroom.  I wanted the leaves sharp and to pop out.  Let me know what you think.

Phoneography: Natures colours

Good morning from a windy and hot Hastings.  We had some rain yesterday but it only made everything more humid and uncomfortable.  Even during the night.

So I decided to do a post of cheerful colours for Sally’s challenge. This is also to cheer up those snowed under.  Our days here are getting shorter, yours are now getting longer.  I saw that the groundhog has predicted another 6 weeks of winter.  so just enjoy the colours.

These photos were taken last October when my mother’s garden was in full colour for spring.  Now everything is dry and a fire hazard.  No colour left.

I have edited them on my computer with Photoscape and Fotor to enhance the colours.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Yellow

DSCF5715 (640x477)

Good morning from a very bright sunny Hastings morning.  A huge change from what we have been having all week.  I’m not complaining.

This week we have the colour yellow for Cee’s challenge.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: The Color Yellow

So the first photo is of our native bird the tui surrounded by the yellow kowhai flowers which they just can’t get enough of.

These two photos were taken with my iPhone 5S and edited with Tangled FX.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Contrasting colours

Contrasting colours 1

Good morning from another sunny Hastings day.

This week the challenge from Cee is contrasting colours.  I had to do a bit of searching to come up with these photos.  This first one is not edited at all.  It was taken with my IPhone 5S and I love the watercolour affect of the flowers. In fact they are all taken with the IPhone and the two below were both edited on the phone.

Good morning from a freezing frosty Hastings morning.
