Steve’s Snap & Zap: Droplets

Droplets original (640x484)

This is always a fun challenge by Steve.

olden-selfie1

For each Snap & Zap I will suggest a new theme so take a new photo or use an existing photo and edit it with any software you like, so…

  1. Create a new post showing the original
  2. What edits have you made?
  3. What software/techniques have you used?
  4. Link back to the current week’s page

So for this week Steve has given us droplets to work with.

The first image is the original.

Droplets + Drama 2 (640x484)

So it was of to my favourite app Snapseed for the Drama 2 filter for definition.

Droplets + FIne HDR (640x484)

Then I added the fine HDR filter.

Droplets ArtWorks - Comic (640x484)

Then I went to another really cool app – ArtWork for the comic filter.

Droplets PS Dream (640x484)

Then to PhotoShop Express for my final edits.  This one is the dream filter.

Droplets PS Carmine (640x484)

Then the carmine filter.

Droplets PS + Vignette (640x484)

Then the vignette filter.

Droplets + PS Vivd (640x484)And a vivid filter.

Droplets PS + memory (640x484)Just so I don’t forget I added the memory filter.

Droplets + PS Carmine final image (640x484)

Finally I added the carmine filter for my final image.

Snap & Zap: My Disco Needs Me…

Today is also a huge day in Australia and to a lesser extent here in New Zealand.  Melbourne Cup day. A horse race which stops a nation, literally.  So good luck to all those with their workplace syndicates.

Thanks for visiting.

Green leaves

Droplets 1 (640x489)

Good morning from a cold Hastings – only 3 degrees this morning.

Even though I haven’t been able to get out much for photos I still take photos around the house.  These two photos were taken the other day after the rain had stopped.

Then the other night I thought I would explore Photoscape a bit more with it’s filters and this is what I ended up with.

Droplets (640x484)

A lot more dramatic than the original images.

Back lit leaves (640x483)

Then I found this photo taken on the first day here.  I liked the way the filters really defined the leaves.

An update to what is happening in my life.  I have just received confirmation of legal aid so it is game on. I am doing ok but  will take a bit to get over it all emotionally and physically but I will get over it all. So once again thanks for all your support.

Sonel’s Photo Editing Challenge: Droplets – Abstract

P1070627P1070627.1

Good morning from a drier Hastings.

Here is the second half of the post for this challenge by Sophia at Sonel’s Corner Photo-Editing Challenge.  I was fascinated by the droplets of water on my car after the sun had come out after a heavy shower.  I really had fun with the editing of these photos as they become so abstract and completely different from the originals.

Here are some others.

They can also go under the abstract category too.

Sonel’s Photo Editing Challenge: Droplet – Nature

DSCF7096DSCF7096.1

Good evening from a rather wet and windy Hastings.

Actually this challenge is rather appropriate for us at the moment.  There is rather a lot of water around.

I was totally blown away by Sophia’s post at Sonel’s Corner Photo-Editing Challenge.  She has really set the standard high this week.  I too have been fascinated by water droplets and have quite a selection.  So I am doing this in two posts.  This first one is relating to nature.  The other one is a surprise for tomorrow.

I have used GIMP for the cartoon filter, then FX Photostudio Pro for the final editing.  I liked the cartoon filter as it really outlined the droplets.

So here are the rest for tonight.
