Good morning from a glorious sunny Hastings morning. The sun is shinning and no wind. It should be a lovely day.
Monday morning and for me that means Cee’s Oddball Challenge. Where you get to post those odd photos that don’t fit in any theme.
This photo is of a hose I found at my parents house. When it is full of water it stretches right out and is quite long. When there is no water in it, it curls up like this. The colour is what caught my eye.
I will catch up with everyone’s blogs tonight.
Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: Week 33
Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge
This week the prompt from Ed was orange. It is not really a colour that I gravitate to. I don’t know why. So I thought I would have some trouble finding some orange photos. Then I had my doh moment. I remembered I had taken these photos the other day.
These were all taken in my garden.
We have two big orange trees in our garden loaded down with fruit. So that means that we have a lot of fallen fruit. I got my son to mow the lawns so my daughter had to pick up the fallen oranges. She then lined them up on the deck.
So here are my orange photos.
Thanks for visiting.
Good morning from a wet and grey Hastings.
I had this post all planned last night and then this morning I read my emails and found that this weeks Word a Week challenge is orange. So now I can use these photos in this challenge.
Sue showed the most amazing sunrise.
Today here in New Zealand it is the official start of winter. So yesterday I made the most of the sunny and warm weather and headed out to take some photos of the autumn colours. So I think all the shades of orange have come out.
The first place I went to was Oak Avenue. This is a short avenue lined with oak trees that were planted in 1874. I found it hard driving up this road as it was breathtaking.
Then on both sides of the avenue there are orchards which are just glorious at the moment. I had to go when the sun was up at a certain angle to really get the depth of colour. The farmers have sent their sheep in to keep the grass down among the trees. This group took off as soon as I started to head towards them.
Then it was off to Pakowhai Park. The colours were breathtaking. There was no wind and the stream was like a mirror.
Here is another great post for this challenge by Nowathome.
