Good morning from another sunny day here in Hastings. We haven’t had rain since before Christmas which means everything is getting brown. We also have a fire ban on. My thoughts are with the devastating fires in Adelaide and the families involve. I read this morning that a boarding kennel was destroyed, along with the pets that were staying there. So take care in Adelaide and the rest of the fire prone parts of Australia.

We had a good rain event pass through the fire area and southern Victoria last week, or week before, and all appears quiet in fire areas. Not to say they are completely out though.

It is getting very dry here and we are starting water restrictions. It rained the night before we moved but that didn’t do enough. It is supposed to rain today.
