Good morning from another frosty but sunny day here in Hastings.
This weekCheri Lucas Rowlands has given us the prompt of curves.
For this week’s challenge, get inspired by the curves around you. From curves in architecture to bends in nature to man-made undulations, you have lots to work with!
So first up is a trash can. I was playing around with my remote last week and placed the camera on the ground looking upwards and pressed the remote and this is what I got.
Then there are the curves in this roll of carpet I found in the CBD.
And then there is the Hobbit House I found in the community gardens at Havelock North.
Then there is the curve in this river at Havelock North.
Where we found this eel curving around for us.
And finally the curved branches frame this grey warbler.

Great gallery, Raewyn. That garbage can looks like a building of some sort. 🙂

These are just wonderful. The garbage can looks like a skyscraper…one that Batman would use to watch the city below. Every photo is interesting and fun. Love the fish. Fabulous job.

So often the way with birds!! Good reaction time 😉 It’s a magical moment with a bird like that, I often find that I’ve been holding my breath the whole time!

Raewyn, I have no idea what you’re doing differently but I really seean improvement in your images and the processing. Keep doing what you’re doing. I love it!

Thanks so much Emilio. I have been exploring the HDR in Nik Collection to add that extra tweak before further editing.

These are all exceptional. Hard to compare them because they are so different from one another. I do love the steel building. What interesting architecture! And the little warbler if perfect.
