Weekly Pet Share: Abbey

Abbey 13th March 2015-2005

Here is my latest photo of Abbey, my mother’s dog. She had just had a haircut and was looking beautiful.  Abbey is now going deaf and is looking tired now.  But she gives Mum a routine and something to care about.

Monochrome Madness 2-2

Good morning from a rather chilly Hastings day.  Cyclone Pam has no hit the Chatham Island which lies to the East of New Zealand.  They have been hit a lot harder than we have and there is a lot more damage.  Vanuatu is so devastated and desperately need help

Anyway onto my entry this week for Leanne Cole PHOTOGRAPHY.  Blackberries.  Rather appropriate as autumn is now here.  These were taken at my parents house.  Mum used to do blackberry jam every year but this year the blackberries are going straight into the freezer.  She doesn’t have any energy to do anything.  Or the memory of how to do it either.

But this also brings back my childhood of wandering around our new subdivision of empty plots fill of black berry bushes and picking large juicy berries and eating them warm from the sun.  Not to mention all the scratches we got as well.  That ended once the area was developed.
