A Photo a Week Challenge: Silhouettes

Silhouettes-

This week Nancy has given us the prompt to find our silhouette images.

These series of photos were taken up at Buff Hill on ANZAC Day.  The light was so magical.  I was talking to a fellow photographer.  He was using his zoom to focus in on the figures silhouetted against the light rays.  He didn’t see the light like I did.  By using a wider angle lens I made the light rays the focal point of the image.

Silhouettes 1-

I have cropped this image to focus on the figures in the foreground and converted to black and white, again to bring the focus on the light rays.

I wanted to show how us humans are so small compared to the magnificence of nature.
